MEMBERSHIP - COME JOIN THE MOVEMENT
Remember when you and/or your parents felt "ownership" in your synagogue? How many times over the past several years have you thought; "I wish the synagogue had something more to offer me". Well now it does and all it needs is YOU.
Hewlett-East Rockaway Jewish Centre (HERJC) fosters a warm and inclusive environment, committed to celebrating Jewish life in our community and around the world. We offer a variety of religious, educational, and social programs that appeal to members of all ages. We welcome you to visit our congregation, attend a Shabbat service, and become a part of our Jewish family.
THE MOVEMENT
Engaged congregants are getting more involved. Each of us wants to do more so we focus a bit more of ourselves and our families toward the Herjc community. Here are examples of some of the amazing Membership Movement programs happening now:
In September we held our annual kick off party "Taste of HERJC". This was a huge success filled with fun, games, learning and meeting new friends.
Family Friday Nights- With great participation, we have ignited Shabbat with Family Friday Nights which includes a family oriented service and dinner. The next one is just around the corner so please plan on attending! Check your Hakol or call the office for exact dates!
Social Programs - We have a lot of great events planned and are always looking for suggestions and volunteers to build on what has become a very positive and inspiring movement!

Lifelong learning.
As a member of HERJC, you are able to enroll your children in our Religious School as well as other educational programs. Our Early Childhood Development Center is open to non-members as well. Adult members can join our Adult Education programs. Some HERJC educational programs require additional fees beyond membership.
